Amrita Vidyalayam Tanur celebrated India’s 65th Independence day on 15th August 2012. Sri Padmanabhan Master, the retired Head master from Kottakkal inaugurated the function. The marvelous group display of the students from higher standard also marked the function. As part of Independence Day celebration we conducted notice board decoration competition for all classes. The classes II A, IX and XII won the prizes. We concluded the chanting of Ramayana on that auspicious day. Smt Sbha, the music teacher chanted few lines from Sri Rama Pattabhishekam. The chief guest distributed the prizes of Ramayana Quiz competition and notice board decoration competition.
